Set Up Password Recovery Information in MyGRCC

How do I set up or update my recovery information in the password reset tool?

Set Up Password Recovery Information

Upon first login you will be prompted to Enroll in password recovery. You will be able to skip 2 times before being forced to set up this recovery information.

  1. Log into MyGRCC
    • If you are unable to log into MyGRCC follow directions for First Time User or call the Support Desk at 616.234.4357
  2. Re-enter password on ENROLLMENT - CHALLENGE ANSWERS page
  3. Click Continue
  4. Set up Security Questions
    1. Choose a question from the drop down
    2. Enter an answer
      1. All answers must be at least 4 characters long
    3. Repeat for a minimum of 5 questions
    4. Click Continue
  5. Click Sign-In
  6.  Set Up Mobile Phone - (Optional. To skip, click Skip and select Permanently Suppress Reminders)
    1. Enter phone number on ENROLLMENT - MOBILE PHONE page
    2. Click Continue
    3. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode texted to phone
    4. Click Continue
  7. Click Sign-In
  8. Set Up Email Address
    1. Enter a personal email address on ENROLLMENT - EMAIL ADDRESS page
    2. Click Continue
    3. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode sent to personal email
    4. Click Continue
  9. Click Sign-In
  10. Set up Mobile Authenticator - (Optional.To skip, click Skip and select Permanently Suppress Reminders)
    1. Choose Phone Type
    2. Click Continue
    3. Scan QR Code (if using a blackberry see alternate method below)
    4. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode displayed
    5. Click Continue
  11. Click Sign-In

Update Password Recovery Information

  1. Log into MyGRCC
  2. Click drop down in the upper right
  3. Click Edit Profile
  4. Select desired recovery information
    1. Challenge Questions
      1. Click Change my challenge answers or clear my challenge answers
      2. Choose Questions from drop down
      3. Type answers
        1. Must be at least 4 characters long
      4. Repeat for all 5 questions
      5. Click Continue
    2. Registered Email Address
      1. Click Change my email
      2. Type in new email
      3. Click Continue
      4. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode
      5. Click Continue
    3. Registered Phones
      1. To Remove
        1. Click Remove next to phone number
      2. To Add
        1. Click Add new phone
        2. Select Country
        3. Enter Phone Number
        4. Click Continue
        5. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode
        6. Click Continue
    4. Mobile Authenticator
      1. Click Disable mobile authenticator
      2. Click OK
      3. Click Enable mobile authenticator
      4. Choose Phone Type
      5. Click Continue
      6. Scan QR Code (if using a blackberry see alternate method below)
      7. Follow Instructions on phone (varies by device)
      8. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode displayed
      9. Click Continue

Alternate Mobile Authenticator for Blackberry

  1. Choose Phone Type (Blackberry)
  2. Click Continue
  3. Install Google Authenticator App
  4. Manually enter secret below into Google Authenticator App
  5. Enter 2nd Factor / One Time Passcode displayed
  6. Click Continue
