Enabling Cross Site Tracking

Issue

Cross site tracking settings need to be changed in order to access specific sites within Blackboard.

 

Environment

  • Blackboard
  • Web Browsers
  • iOS and Windows

 

Resolution

iPhone using Safari

  1. Navigate to Settings App
  2. Scroll down to Safari
  3. Toggle Off Block Cookies
  4. Toggle Off Prevent Cross-Site Tracking
  5. Navigate to Blackboard and try to load the video

Macbook using Safari

  1. Click Safari in the upper-left of your screen
  2. Click Preferences
    1. May be Settings depending upon OS version
  3. Click Privacy
  4. Uncheck the box next to Prevent cross-site tracking
  5. Close Window and reload page

Windows Chrome

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. In the upper-right, click .
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Privacy and security.
  5. Click Third-party cookies. 
  6. Select Allow third-party cookies.
  7. Verify Send a "Do Not Track" request with your browsing traffic is toggled off
