Environment

  • Blackboard

Answer

Style options control the look and feel of your Blackboard course, including the course menu style and layout, content appearance, course entry point, and banner image.

Here is a breakdown of what each style option controls:

  • Theme: This option changes the overall look and feel of your course, such as the colors, fonts, and images.
  • Menu Style: This option changes the way the course menu looks and behaves. You can choose to have a traditional menu bar, a more modern ribbon menu, or a completely custom menu.
  • Content Appearance: This option changes the way the content in your course looks. You can choose to have a traditional list view, a more modern grid view, or a completely custom view.
  • Course Entry Point: This option changes the page that students see when they first enter your course. You can choose to have them see the syllabus, the course calendar, or a custom page.
  • Banner Image: This option changes the image that appears at the top of your course. You can choose to use a default image or upload your own image.

To change the style and view of your Blackboard course, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Blackboard
  2. Navigate to the desired course.
  3. Go to the Control Panel.
  4. Click on Customization.
  5. Select Style.
  6. Make your desired changes to the style options.
  7. Click on Save.
