How do I set up an assignment to check for plagiarism in Blackboard?

Answer

1. Log in to Blackboard.
2. Navigate to the course and locate the assignment. 
3. Click next to the assignment link.
4. Click Edit from the menu. 
5. Scroll down and click Submission Details. 
6. Choose  Check submissions for plagiarism using SafeAssign.

Optional settings:

• Choose Allow students to view SafeAssign originality report for their attempts if you wish your students to view the report.
• Choose Exclude submissions from the Institutional and Global References Databases to prevent student papers from being compared to other assignments submitted within the institution (institutional database) or assignments available globally (global reference database). This is particularly useful when specific plagiarism check requirements are needed.
