Transfer Emails and Google Docs to a Personal Email

How do I transfer my emails and documents from my GRCC student email?

Information

GRCC student email has a feature that allows you to transfer your files from Google Drive and messages from Gmail to a personal email address. This is only enabled for students and is useful if you would like to keep a record of emails and documents after you are no longer a student.

Answer

  1. Navigate to email.grcc.edu.
  2. Select your profile picture in the top right corner.
  3. Select Manage your Google Account.
  4. Select Transfer your content near the top of the page. (Alternatively, navigate directly to takeout.google.com/transfer (opens in a new window)).

  1. Enter the destination email address you would like to transfer your content to. Note: This must be a personal Gmail account.
  2. Check your personal email for a confirmation message and select Get confirmation code.
  3. Once you receive your confirmation code, return to the transfer screen in your GRCC email and enter the code.
  4. Select the content you wish to transfer (Drive, Gmail, or both) and select Start transfer.
  5. The transfer process will begin. You will receive confirmation emails in both your GRCC and personal email accounts.
