Restoring a Deleted Event

Issue

An event was deleted from Google Calendar but needs to be restored.

 

Environment

  • Google Calendar

 

Information

If an event cannot be located, consider the following details that can affect an event's visibility:

  • Events are only saved in a calendar's Trash for 30 days.
  • If you didn't have edit access to the calendar the event was created on, you won't see the event in the Trash.
  • There's a separate Trash for each calendar you have. Try looking in the Trash for other calendars.
  • Anyone who has edit access to your calendar can delete events forever or restore them. If others have access to your calendar, ask if they moved the event.

 

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Google Calendar.
  2. Click Settings 
  3. Click Trash.
  4. Restore individual events by hovering over the event and clicking the return arrow 
  5. Restore multiple events by clicking the check box to the left of each event and clicking the return arrow at the top of the list.
