Issue
The Teaching Station computer is unable to connect to the Internet.
Environment
- GRCC Teaching Station
- GRCC Employee Desktops
- Windows
Information
Error Messages Present: No network connection / unable to obtain IP / connect an Ethernet cable
Resolution
- Ensure that the computer has been on for at least 5 minutes
Note: Occasionally it can take a few minutes for the device to receive an IP address
- The cables appear to be physically connected to both the wall port and computer (if visible)
- Computer has been restarted
- After a restart an additional 5 minutes may be required
Note: If computer has been on and running for at least 5 minutes, escalate to Desktop Support.
