How to transfer a call in Zoom Phone?

Resolution
During a call
- During the call, click Transfer.
- Choose one of the following ways to enter the transfer destination:
- Dial a number manually using the number pad.
- Search contacts by typing a name (internal, external, or synced contacts).
- Click the blue transfer button and select a transfer method:
- Warm Transfer (to speak to the recipient before transferring)
- Cold Transfer (immediately transfers the call)
- Transfer to Voicemail (sends call to voicemail, may not work for all numbers)
- If using Warm Transfer, the call will be placed on hold while you connect to the recipient. Click Complete Transfer to finalize the transfer and hang up.
- You can use most in-call controls before completing the transfer.
- Click Cancel Transfer to return to the original call.
Types of Transfers
Warm Transfer

Places the call on hold while you connect to the recipient.

Useful for navigating automated systems or speaking with the recipient first.

Click Complete Transfer to finish the transfer.
Cold Transfers
- Immediately transfers the call and disconnects you.
- The recipient will handle any automated prompts.
Transfer to Voicemail
- Sends the call directly to the voicemail of the specified number.
- May not work for all numbers.
