Raider Card Parking Facts

Information

Raider card parking facts:

  • Use your GRCC raidercard to scan in yourself in & out of GRCC ramps
     
  • Parking is $3.50 per day 
    • Avoid pulling a parking ticket if you have a raidercard. By pulling a ticket, you can still use your raider card to exit for $3.50 but would be charged for each exit if you come back to campus or moved to a new ramp. 
       
  • NEVER use an old public parking ticket you may have gotten from earlier in week/semester when exiting. The public parking entrance tickets are issued if you forgot your raidercard and charges $2 every 30 minutes and up to $12 for each day. 
     
  • Running a quick errand? Under 30 minutes is free in the ramp if you pull a public ticket and use that ticket at the exit within 30 minutes from the time stamp on the ticket.
     
  • Have a plan for parking and know where all your ramps are. Some ramps can be come congested or be low on spaces available: 
    • Ramp A is the largest ramp with multiple entrances/exits on Ransom Street and Fountain Street. This ramp has a 6’2 overhead clearance. 
    • Ramp B entrance & exit is located off of Bostwick Ave. and has a clearance of 7 feet.
    • Ramp C is up at our Sneden hall campus, and that has an entrance off of Fountain Street and Fulton Street East. This is a flat lot and mainly does not have an overhead clearance. 
       
  • Ask student life about the College Ave Lot parking lot if you are looking for an alternative to parking ramps 
     

  • Load funds and track transactions at www.grcc.edu/studentlink or the physical raider card kiosks across campus. Student link has helpful features that allows you to set up a low balance alert. You can block your card by reporting the card lost, so that nobody else can use your funds on the card.

Fail to pay

  • Definition: Fail to pay is if or when a student does not have a raidercard and does not have anyway to pay for parking. Examples of this is if you forgot your wallet, or do not have the funds to pay for your time in the parking ramp.
     
  • You will want to be directed to campus police at 25 Lyon St NE or call 616-234-4010 and they will issue a fail to pay and let you out of the ramp. Students will then need to pay $12 to the Student financial services (616-234-4020) later on.
