How can I move a test from one Blackboard course to another?

Answer

To avoid any errors, make sure that the test is closed before exporting it.

Step 1: Export the test

1. Navigate to the desired course.
   • Make sure that Edit Mode is enabled. 
2. Click Course Tools in the Control Panel.
3. Click Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
4. Click Tests.
5. Click the arrow to the right of the test name.
6. Select Export to Local Computer.
7. Save the file to the desktop of your computer.
8. The file will export as a .zip folder. Do not open or extract the folder.

Step 2: Import the test

1. Navigate to the destination course. 
2. Click Course Tools from the Control Panel.
3. Click Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
4. Click Tests.
5. Click Import Test at the top.
6. Click Browse Local Files.
7. Select the file of the exported quiz on your computer.
8. Import the entire .zip folder.
9. Click Open.
10. Click Submit.

Step 3: Deploy the test

Once you have imported the test, you need to deploy it in a content area where the students can access it. 

1. Navigate to the content area where you want to deploy the test.
2. Click the Add Content button.
3. Select Assessment.
4. Select Test.
5. Locate the test from the Add an Existing Test list.
