Issue
How to resolve an issue where Adobe Acrobat DC fails to install in Software Center.
Environment
- Windows 10
- Software Center
- Adobe Acrobat DC
- Panopto
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint
Information
The user has installed Panopto from the Software Center, it starts a PowerPoint process which causes the Adobe Acrobat DC installer from Software Center to fail as it sees a PowerPoint process running.
Resolution
- Open Task Manager
- Right click on task bar and select Task Manager
- or Click Ctrl+Shift+Esc on your keyboard
- Right Click the PowerPoint process
- Choose End Task
- Click Retry from Software Center, leaving the Task Manager open to verify PowerPoint doesn't reopen.
