Is there a desktop client available for Gmail and Calendar?

Information
Google does not offer a native desktop mail client. It is recommended to use the web-based applications, as some Google-specific features are only available through a browser.
A desktop shortcut can be created to launch the web-based application more readily.

Information Technology provides Outlook applications to Faculty and Staff upon request. This will be made available for installation through the Software Center.
