Unable to Login to GRCC Laptop After Password Change/Reset

Issue

I came home and tried to unlock my laptop with the new password, but only the old password worked. The laptop would not accept the new password.

 

Environment

  • Windows 10
  • MacOS
  • Active Directory 

 

Information

This happens if you have not logged into the computer while on campus after changing your password.

It's recommended that if you change your password while on campus, to log into your computer at least once before heading off campus so that it has the opportunity to sync the new password with Active Directory for use off campus.

If the password was changed while you are off campus, then the new password will not reflect on your computer login until you've returned to campus.
