Enable SolidWorks Dynamic Reference Visualization

Issue

Dynamic Reference Visualization needs to be enabled in SolidWorks for the lab computers.

 

Environment

  • Lab Stations
  • SolidWorks

 

Information

There is no option to enable this function by default. Students will need to make this change individually. For more information, see the SolidWorks Help article on this topic.

 

Resolution

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, right-click the first item (part or assembly)
  2. Click one or both of the following:
    • Dynamic Reference Visualization (Parent)
    • Dynamic Reference Visualization (Child)

      Note: In assemblies, if you turn dynamic reference visualization on or off at any level, the change affects the entire assembly.
