The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for co-managing the receiving, receipt, and delivery of all incoming and outgoing GRCC parcels. Local deliveries to external customers for internal departments are required on occasion. The position also involves coordination/transportation of internal moves, including Lakeshore Campus, and warehouse responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process the receiving documentation as secondary or back up for purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, bills of lading, right to know, etc., and distribute goods accordingly
- Execution of the daily delivery of goods
- Coordinate the return of goods to include miselects, order errors, overages, damages, etc.
- Transporting of goods both on and off campus, including delivery to off campus customers, and coordinates off campus deliveries for ePrint and other departments as needed
- Operate GRCC Delivery vehicles
- Transport departmental equipment/staging to various locations as required, including but not limited to Music, Athletics, Information Technology, Hospitality Education, Creative Dining, Commencement, Maintenance & Operations
- Responsible for hi-lo operation
- Responsible for executing maintenance and repair schedules on GRCC vehicles, including trucks, vans, hi-lo, and electric lift jack
- Coordination and execution of departmental moves
- Inventory and distribute specialty items as needed, such as Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Log and assign fixed asset codes to the appropriate goods
- Provides back up for ePrint including paper, quick copy, mail services, etc.
- Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Credentials
- High school degree or GED diploma required
- Michigan driver’s license with a driving record in good standing required
- Hi-Lo operator’s license required
Work Experience
- Experience with Peoplesoft and receiving software is preferred
- Prior experience in and Shipping & Receiving capacity is preferred
- Prior experience in customer service is preferred
- Prior driving experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite preferred
