Making a Call With Yealink Phones

How to make the various types of phone calls on Yealink phones

 

Environment

  • Yealink Phone

 

Process

  1. Start a call by doing one of the following:

    • Lifting the handset
    • Pressing the Speaker button
    • Pressing the Answer button on your headset (if available)

  2. Use the following dial patterns when making a call:

    • Internal: Dial the 4-digit extension
      • During the transition phase, you will need to dial the full 10-digit number for GRCC employees not yet on Zoom.  You can find a list of departments who have moved to Zoom in this KB article.
    • Emergency: Dial 911 or use the GRCC Police speed dial on your phone. (Note: In the event of a power or internet outage, calling 911 may not be possible.)
    • External: Dial the 10-digit phone number (e.g., 616-234-4000)
