Unable to load a Page in Canvas, Access Denied

Issue

A student is trying to navigate to a Canvas link and are given an access denied error message

 

Environment

  • Canvas

 

Resolution

  1. Verify user is accessing Canvas by going to signin.grcc.edu first, then clicking directly on Canvas from the My apps page.
  2. Clear the browser's cookies and cache.
  3. Verify that 3rd Party Cookies and Cross Site Tracking are not blocked.
  4. Try a separate browser or device.

 

Cause

Prevention of Cross site tracking needs to be disabled.
