How do I user Jabber to take phone calls?



  • Cisco Jabber



Logging In

First Time Log In

  1. Launch Jabber
  2. Enter your email address 
  3. Click Continue
  4. Enter your MyGRCC Passphrase (Password)
  5. Click Sign In

Log in to Phone Services

If you log in but are still unable to make and receive phone calls follow these instructions

  1. Click on the Gear icon 
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Account
  4. Enter your network credentials
  5. Click Sign in


Making a Phone Call

  1. Hover over the Jabber Icon 
    • This shows on the right side of your screen unless disabled
  2. Type a name or phone number
  3. Click the Green Call button .


Transfer a Call

  1. Press More from the in-call Jabber screen
  2. Select Transfer
  3. Enter the name/number you want to transfer to
  4. Click the green Transfer button
  5. Press transfer to complete the transfer
    • Press immediately for cold transfer
    • Wait to speak with other person before pressing for warm transfer
  6. To go back to original call click the Red X and press Resume


Check Voicemail

Clicking on the voicemail icon will only connect you to your primary line. To check messages for other lines call 3050.
