Create Custom Keyboard Shortcuts on macOS

Information

MacOS allows you to create a custom keyboard shortcut based on a specific application. 

 

Environment

Process

To add a custom shortcut:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Select Keyboard.
  3. Select Shortcuts.
  4. Click the icon to add a new shortcut.
  5. Add your shortcut function, which application it affects, and and the key that will execute the shortcut.
  6. Select Add at the bottom to save your shortcut.
