Create Custom Keyboard Shortcuts on MacOS

Information

Mac OS allows you to create a custom keyboard shortcut based on a specific application. 

 

Environment

  • Mac OS

 

Process

To add a custom shortcut:

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Select Keyboard
  3. Select Shortcuts
  4. Click the icon to add a new shortcut
  5. Add your shortcut function, which application it affects, and and the key that will execute the shortcut.
  6. Select Add at the bottom to save your shortcut.
