Adding a Google Chrome profile to your Windows desktop can make it even easier to keep your work and personal browsing separate with the click of a button.
Environment
Process
- At the top right, click the button with your initial or User Icon
- Click the profile you would like to create a shortcut for
- Click the pencil icon labeled Customize Profile
- Scroll to the bottom to Create desktop shortcut
- Next to Create a desktop shortcut on your device to access directly to this profile, Ensure the toggle switch is blue. The shortcut will be named according to the profile name with a chrome desktop icon.
Note: The Create desktop shortcut toggle will only show if multiple profiles are present in Google Chrome. If there is only one profile present, then any shortcut to Google Chrome will open in that profile.
