A MacOS computer is getting the Papercut Paused Printing error message.
Environment
- MacOS
- GRCC Managed Devices
Process
MacOS versions needs to be 12.4, if running an older version, updates are required.
Scenario 1
- Connect to network.
- Launch PCClient.app
- Send test print job to verify Papercut client hands job off to printer.
Scenario 2
- Connect to network.
- Launch PCClient.app
- Send test print job
- An authentication prompt may come up. Have user authenticate with MyGRCC credentials
- Select the save to keychain checkbox to prevent from having to type credentials in again in the future
- Verify print job has been released to printer
Scenario 3
- Connect to network
- Open Terminal
- Enter following command:
- dsconfigad -show
- If the return is nothing, then do the next command.
- Enter following command:
- sudo dsconfigad -add in.grcc.edu -force -user %TechAdminUsername%
- Enter Administrator Password
- Enter Tech password
- Enter following command:
- dsconfigad -show
- If the return shows information about Active Directory, then your good.
- Test printing!
