Zoom provides several features to improve your video and picture quality during meetings or webinars. These include enabling HD video for high resolution, touch-up appearance options, and lighting adjustments like low light compensation and portrait lighting. These tools ensure that you look your best, regardless of the environment or device.

- Zoom Desktop Application (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Zoom Mobile Application (iOS)
- Compatible devices with an updated Zoom version and functional camera
- Adequate network bandwidth for HD video (720p or 1080p)
Process
Touch Up My Appearance
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop application.
- Click your profile picture, then select Settings.
- Go to the Background & Effects tab.
- Check the Touch Up My Appearance box.
- Use the slider to adjust the intensity of the effect.
- Click Close.
- Zoom will remember your preference and apply it to future meeting
Adjust Lighting
Adjust for Low Light
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop application.
- Click your profile picture, then select Settings.
- Navigate to the Background & Effects tab.
- Check the Adjust for Low Light box.
- By default, the setting will be on Auto. If needed, select Manual and use the slider to adjust the brightness to your preference.
- Click Close.
Portrait Lighting
This will dim the background while brightening you in the foreground.
- Sign in to the Zoom desktop application.
- Click your profile picture, then select Settings.
- Navigate to the Background & Effects tab.
- Check the Portrait Lighting box.
- Click Close.
