Question

When I make an outgoing call, what is my caller ID?

Environment

  • Zoom Phone
  • Desk Phones

Information

You can only change your caller ID if you have more than one extension assigned to you or are part of a call queue.

If someone else has delegated your their line to you and you wish to use their caller ID for outgoing calls, you may request this feature be turned on.

Answer

For desk phones, your caller ID is based on the setting you have chosen in the Zoom Portal (opens in a new window) under Personal - Phone -> Outbound Caller ID.

In the Zoom software, you can select your outgoing caller ID below the dialpad if you have two or more phone numbers assigned to you.  You can choose between your direct extension, a shared extension, a phone queue extension, or the main company number.
