Dental Chair Video Screen arrangement

Question

How do I fix the 2nd screen on the Dental chairs in the Clinic? It currently is displaying TV static.

A Samsung TV screen mounted on a dental chair arm showing black and white 'snow' or TV static.

Environment

  • Cook Academic Hall Dental Clinic
  • Dental chairs
  • Samsung TV display

Information

These arm-mounted displays are small Samsung TVs. The display can accidentally be set to a "TV" input. Since there is no coaxial signal, it will display static instead of the PC feed.

Info: Input Selection: Ensure the PC is powered on before attempting to switch inputs to ensure a signal is detected.

Answer

There are two methods to switch the input back to the PC selection:

Method 1: Manual Toggle

  1. Press the menu toggle button on the back of the display.

  4. The PC desktop should now appear on the Arm Display.

Method 2: Control Box

  1. These monitors are equipped with remote IR sensors to turn on the monitor and change inputs.
Small black IR receiver bulb mounted on the side of the display frame.
  2. This is controlled by the control box wired into the system, located next to the counter display.
