Keyboard Not Working

Issue

The keyboard on a workstation is not performing properly.

Environment

  • Classroom Technology
  • Faculty/Staff Workstation
  • Lab Workstation

Resolution

  1. Check the keyboard cable and ensure it is plugged into the computer.
  2. Unplug the cable, then plug it back in after a few seconds. If using a dock, unplug the dock and plug it back in.
  3. Try plugging the keyboard into a different USB port.
  4. Reboot the computer.
