  • Google Chrome

Process

GRCC-Owned Devices

If you are using a GRCC-issued Mac, you do not need to download the installer manually from the web. Instead, use the Self Service application:

Personal Devices

  1. Open the Safari browser from your Dock.
  2. Navigate to the Google Chrome download page (opens in a new window).
  3. Click the Download Chrome button.
  4. Review the Terms of Service and click Accept and Install.
  5. Once the download completes, open your Downloads folder (located in the Dock or via Finder).
  6. Double-click the googlechrome.dmg file to open the installer.
  7. A window will appear; drag the Google Chrome icon into the Applications folder shortcut within that same window.
    • Note: This copies the program to your computer's hard drive.
  8. Once the copying process is finished, locate the "Google Chrome" installer icon on your Desktop (it looks like a white disk). Drag it to the Trash to unmount and eject it.

Tip: After installation, you can find Google Chrome in your Applications folder. You may want to drag the icon to your Dock for quick access in the future.
