Process
GRCC-Owned Devices
If you are using a GRCC-issued Mac, you do not need to download the installer manually from the web. Instead, use the Self Service application:
Personal Devices
- Open the Safari browser from your Dock.
- Navigate to the Google Chrome download page (opens in a new window).
- Click the Download Chrome button.
- Review the Terms of Service and click Accept and Install.
- Once the download completes, open your Downloads folder (located in the Dock or via Finder).
- Double-click the googlechrome.dmg file to open the installer.
- A window will appear; drag the Google Chrome icon into the Applications folder shortcut within that same window.
- Note: This copies the program to your computer's hard drive.
- Once the copying process is finished, locate the "Google Chrome" installer icon on your Desktop (it looks like a white disk). Drag it to the Trash to unmount and eject it.
Tip: After installation, you can find Google Chrome in your Applications folder. You may want to drag the icon to your Dock for quick access in the future.
