Answer

Students can print from a personal device while on campus using PaperCut Mobility Print. Follow the instructions below to get started.

Instructions

Step 1

Installation Required 
Microsoft Windows 
  1. Launch your preferred web browser.
  2. Navigate to the setup page PaperCut Mobility for a Windows device (opens in a new window).
  3. Select Click this link to download the PaperCut Mobility Print installer.
  4. Click the install file located in the bottom left corner of the web browser window and click Run when the download has completed.
    • Your device may ask to allow mobility print to make changes to your device; click Yes.
  5. On the License Agreement screen, select I accept the agreement, then click Next.
  6. Select a printer to add: GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Color-Ricoh or GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Gray-Ricoh, then click Next.
    • You may add both printers listed if you anticipate needing to print from multiple printers.
  7. Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase, then click Next.
  8. Click Finish to exit the Printer Setup Wizard.
  9. Choose the desired document to print.
  10. From the print preview window, make sure the correct GRCC network printers are shown from the printer drop-down list. Adjust print specifications as necessary.
  11. Click Print.
  12. Your print job is now ready for release from any GRCC multi-function printer. Proceed to Step 2.
Android
  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Install the Mobility Print app for PaperCut.
  3. Launch the Mobility Print app and tap ANDROID SETTINGS.
  4. Select Mobility Print from the Printing Services window.
  5. Toggle the button in the upper right corner to enable the mobility service.
  6. Open an app you want to print from.
  7. Select the Share option within the app and then tap the Print option.
    • If the Share or Print options are not visible, check the help section of the app. Not all apps support Mobility Print.
  8. Within the print preview window, tap the default printer in the upper left corner. It may be set to Save as PDF.
  9. Tap GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Color-Ricoh or GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Gray-Ricoh.
  10. Tap the down arrow on the print preview window to adjust print specifications as necessary.
  11. Tap the Print icon .
  12. Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase, then tap Print.
  13. Your print job is now ready for release from any GRCC multi-function printer. Proceed to Step 2.
ChromeOS
  1. Launch Google Chrome and navigate to the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Search for Mobility Print and click ADD TO CHROME.
    • The Mobility Print app should now be visible on your Apps homepage in Google Chrome.
  3. Open the content you want to print.
  4. Within the print preview window, click the default printer in the upper left corner. It may be set to Save as PDF.
  5. Double-click GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Color-Ricoh or GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Gray-Ricoh.
  6. Adjust print specifications as necessary.
  7. Click Print.
  8. Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase in the PaperCut notification window, then click Print.
  9. Your print job is now ready for release from any GRCC multi-function printer. Proceed to Step 2.
No Installation Required 
macOS 
  1. Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner and choose System Preferences.
  2. Click Printers and Scanners.
  3. Click the Plus (+) icon under the Printers List.
    • The Add dialog box is displayed. It shows a list of all discoverable printers on the network.
  4. Select a printer to add from the list. Verify that Bonjour is listed next to each printer under the Kind column.
    • Choose GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Color-Ricoh or GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Gray-Ricoh.
  5. At the bottom of the dialog box, check that Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
    • If Secure AirPrint is not displayed:
      1. Close the Add dialog box.
      2. Disconnect from the network, then reconnect to it again.
      3. Verify that Secure AirPrint is showing.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Choose the desired document to print.
    • Within the print dialog box, verify that the correct Ricoh printer is listed. If not, repeat the steps above.
  8. Adjust printer specifications as necessary and click Print.
  9. Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase, then click OK.
  10. Your print job is now ready for release from any GRCC multi-function printer. Proceed to Step 2.
iOS
  1. Open an app you want to print from.
  2. Select the Share option within the app and then tap the Print option.
    • If the Share or Print options are not visible, check the help section of the app. Not all apps support AirPrint.
  3. Within Printer Options, tap Select Printer.
  4. Choose GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Color-Ricoh or GRCC-PersonalPrinting-Gray-Ricoh.
  5. Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase, then tap OK.
  6. Tap Options to adjust print specifications as necessary.
  7. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.
  8. Your print job is now ready for release from any GRCC multi-function printer.

Step 2

Retrieving the print job
  1. Go to your nearest Ricoh Printer.
  2. Tap or swipe your RaiderCard on the printer.
    • Look for the card tap reader located near the display panel.
    • If this is the first time you are using your RaiderCard on a Ricoh printer, it will ask you to associate it with an account.
      • Enter your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase to associate it with your card.
  3. Alternatively, you can log in using the touchscreen by entering your MyGRCC Username and Passphrase.
  4. To print all of your jobs, tap Print all.
  5. Or tap the Print Release option to select specific jobs.
    • View details of a job by clicking the arrow to the right of the job.
    • Print a single job by selecting it and tapping the Print button.
  6. When you are finished using the printer, be sure to tap the Log Out button in the top right.
    • Alternatively, you can tap your card again.
