Allowing Chrome Notifications For Specific Site

Issue

I am not receiving notifications from Google Chat, Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.

 

Environment

  • Google Chrome

 

Resolution

  1. Click Customize and control Google Chrome
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Privacy and security
  4. Click Site Settings
  5. Click View permissions and data stored across sites
  6. Locate desired site
  7. Click 
  8. Set Notifications setting to Allow
  9. Close Chrome completely and re-launch

Alternatively

  1. Click Customize and control Google Chrome
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Privacy and security
  4. Click Site Settings
  5. Scroll down and click Notifications
  6. Click Add next to Allowed to send notifications
  7. Open desired site in a new tab
  8. Copy URL
  9. Paste URL into Add a site diaglog box
  10. Click Add
  11. Close Chrome completely and re-launch
