Optiview at GRCC Campus Police

Information

This article contains the connection information for the Optiview client used at the GRCC Campus Police. If the Interview Cameras are not visible in the client, follow these steps to set them up.

Environment

  • Windows
  • GRCC Campus Police
  • Optiview VMS 2.02 software

Process

  1. Open OptiView shortcut from desktop.
  2. Click the blue + Add button at the top of the screen.
  3. Enter the following information:
    • Device Name: 172.22.244.4
    • IP/Domain Name: 172.22.244.4
    • Port: 37777 (it is already defaulted to this, so it can be left alone)
    • User Name: admin
    • Password: ***** (password redacted for security)
  4. Click the Save and Continue button.
  5. Close the Manual Add box.
  6. Hover over the Devices tab.
  7. Click the little X to close the tab.
  8. Click on the Playback video wheel icon in the middle Search pane.
  9. Click on the Device section on the left side.
  10. Check the box to view the IP address cameras.
  11. Search for video from the intended date range.
  12. Click Search.
  13. Double-click the video wheel box to load the video.
  14. Click the Play icon to play the recording.
