Accessing the Windows Clipboard

Information

Windows provides a streamlined way to copy multiple images and text segments without needing to use Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V for every individual item. By using the clipboard history, you can copy several items in succession and then choose which one to paste. You can also pin items that you use frequently to keep them available in your history.

Environment

  • Windows Operating System

Process

  1. Access Clipboard History: To view your clipboard history at any time, press the Windows logo key + V. From this menu, you can select an individual item to paste or pin frequently used items so they remain in the list.

  2. Sync Across Devices: To share clipboard items across your Windows devices, navigate to Start > Settings > System > Clipboard. Under the Sync across devices section, select Automatically sync text that I copy. Note: This feature requires you to be signed into the same Microsoft or work account on all devices.
