Change your default search engine in Microsoft Edge

Information

Microsoft Edge by default uses Bing's search engine. You can adjust this to use Google instead.

Environment

  • Microsoft Edge

Process

  1. Perform a search in the address bar using the search engine you want to set as your default.
  2. Click Settings and more (three dots in the upper-right).
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Privacy, search, and services from the left-hand menu.
  5. Click Search and connected experiences.
  6. Click Address bar and search.
  7. Next to Search engine used in the address bar, choose your preferred search engine from the drop-down menu.
