About Us
GRCC’s Automotive Job Training program is an 18 week Course designed to train and certify students in preparation for jobs as automotive technicians. We provide automotive service as a real world shop environment for our students. Student class work is our primary focus and first priority. We offer appointments for service when available. After inquiry a response may not be processed for up to 10 business days. All requests will be processed on Fridays.
As students are learning and have limited experience, service times can be longer. We usually ask for a vehicle to be made available to us for several days at a time. Diagnosis and part acquisition may be a 1-2 day process and the repair may be 1-3 days. For more intensive procedures weeks may be required.
Our facility is not a licensed automotive repair facility and our students are not licensed. Because we are not licensed, we do not charge labor only for parts. All service performed by students is supervised by ASE and State of Michigan certified master technicians.
