MND hold

Information

MND holds are placed on student accounts based on their test scores. Students are required to take PY 100 if they meet either of the following criteria:

• The ALEKS aggregate score ranges from 0 to 13.
• The English score placed them in ARW 100.

Process

Students must see an advisor to register for classes. To schedule an appointment, use one of the following methods:

• Call 616-234-3900, option 6.
• Text 616-404-0044.
• Schedule online through Navigate (Watch a brief video on how to schedule an appointment via Navigate.)

A registration hold will remain on the student record until they complete PY 100 with a grade of C- or higher.

If the ALEKS score caused the hold placement, students have the option to retake the test up to five times.

Before each attempt, students must:

• Finish the Learning Modules (three or five hour modules depending on the attempt number).
• Wait at least 48 hours between attempts.
