How to search for MA Only classes without a corequisite?

Question

How to search for MA classes without a corequisite?

Environment

  • GRCC Online Center

Information

Many MA classes have versions that are by itself and some that require a corequisite. Students that need to take the version by itself will be prevented from enrolling into those that require a corequisite. There is a way to filter results when searching to find either type starting with Fall 2025 terms and beyond.

Answer

Enrolling into MA *** without a corequitise.

  1.  Log into your MyGRCC account and select the Online Center.
  2.  Select the Add/Drop Classes tile.
  3.  Select Class Search and Enroll and then select the term.
  4.  Type MA and the three digit number (must put a space between MA and the number) of the math course in the search bar and click the arrow but do not click the results.
  5.  After searching but before clicking on the results look on the left hand side for checkboxes that can be used to filter your results.
  6.  Scroll down on the left hand side, if necessary,  until you see Class Attribute and check the box for MATH/MA *** Only
  7. You will notice the Class Options total goes down, clicking on it now will cause it to only show the versions that do not require a corequisite class.
