Issue
A Ricoh campus printer is printing lines or smudges on a print, copy, or scan.
Environment
Cause Check
- Ensure that there are no smudges, dust, or marks on the flatbed scanner glass, including the side strip.
- The small strip of glass on the left is where it scans documents sent through the top feeder
- Test to see if the smudges or stripes appear on a standard print from a computer
- Prints do not pass over the glass, so if the smudges still appear, it is likely there is an issue with an internal part

If the above checks failed to resolve the issue, please contact IT Support at 616-234-4357 or submit a ticket by going here and clicking Report a Printer Issue. Please be sure to include the ID number, make/model, room/building locations, and serial number of the device ready.
