How do I connect to the GRCC Secure wireless network on a Mobile Device?

 

Environment

  • GRCC Secure Wireless Network
  • Mobile Device

 

Resolution

  1. Navigate to your system Wi-Fi settings
    • This path my be different depending on your phone model/manufacturer
  2. From the list of available wireless networks, select GRCC Secure
  3. If prompted:
    1. select TTLS for EAP method
    2. Under Phase 2 authentication, select MSCHAPV2
    3. CA Certificate should be set to Use System Certificates
  4. Enter your Campus Network Username in the Identity/Username field 
  5. Skip over Anonymous identity if present
  6. Enter your Password
  7. Under Advanced, change Privacy, Use device MAC
  8. Click Connect

 

Google Pixel, Motorola G, Samsung Galaxy S24 and Chromebooks

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from above
  2. When prompted:
    1. select TTLS for EAP method
      1. For Chromebook may be labeled EAP-TTLS
    2. Under Phase 2 authentication, select MSCHAPV2
    3. CA Certificate should be set to Use System Certificates
    4. Online Certificate Status, Do not verify
    5. When prompted for a domain input grcc.edu (May not prompt for Chromebooks)
    6. Identity, GRCC Login i.e. JaneDoe
    7. Anonymous Identity, leave blank
    8. Password, GRCC Password
    9. ​​​​​​​Under Advanced, change Privacy, Use device MAC
    10. Click, Connect
