Information 

This can only be modify on a campus computer if it is an office computer, and cannot be modified if it is a multimedia or lab station.

 

Resolution

  1. Open Software Center
  2. Click on Options
  3. Expand Power Management
  4. Check the box where it says "Do not apply power settings from my IT department"
  5. Right-click on the Start menu 
  6. Click Power Options
  7. In the right-hand panel there will be options to change how your computer reacts to certain actions.
