Changing Default Multi-Factor Delivery Method

Summary

By default, when prompting to use Multi-Factor Authentication, a one time passcode will be sent to the personal email address on file. You can update this to be any of the recovery methods previously set up (phone, mobile authenticator)

How do I change my default Multi-Factor delivery method?

 

Environment

  • MyGRCC Portal

 

Information

The default MFA method is to send a verification code to the personal email address we have on file.

 

Resolution

  1. Log into the MyGRCC Portal
  2. Click your username in the upper right
  3. Click Edit Profile
  4. Select Multi-Factor Delivery Methods
  5. Select Change next to your desired environment (Website Login, VPN/RADIUS, or Password Reset.)
    1. The VPN/Radius option is also being used for VMware
  6. Choose desired method from OTP Method drop down menu
  7. Click Continue
