ALEKS Math Placement button not opening test

Instructions on how to troubleshoot an issue where the Math Placement button will not open the test from the Online Center.

Issue

When clicking the Math Placement button in the Online Center, it does not open a new tab to take the placement test.

Troubleshooting

1. Make sure pop-up blocker is not blocking the test from opening in a new tab.
   • Reference the Allowing Pop-Ups article for more information.
2. Copy the link and paste to a new tab.
   1. Right-click the Math Placement button.
   2. Select Copy link address.
   3. Open a new browser tab or window.
   4. Paste the link in the address bar and press enter.
3. Clear cookies and cache from the browser.
