Spelling and Grammar Check in Gmail and Google Workspace

How do I access spell check in Gmail or while using Google Workspace applications?

Resolution

For Gmail

Gmail now has a built-in Spelling and Grammar checker, but you can still manually run spell check by following the instructions below

1. Go to Gmail
2. In the top left, click Compose
3. Write your message
4. In the bottom right corner, click the three vertical dots 
5. Click Check spelling

For other Google Workspace Apps

1. When in a document, select Tools from the toolbar
2. Hover over Spelling in the drop-down menu, and select Spell Check

The shortcut for spell check in the Google Workspace Applications, such as Google Docs, is Ctrl + Alt + X
