FutureTech at Muskegon Community College

The FutureTech Careers Program at Muskegon Community College (MCC) is designed to prepare students for roles in the evolving industries of Information Technology and Advanced Manufacturing. Through hands-on learning, industry mentorship, career readiness workshops, and personalized coaching, the program connects students with the skills and opportunities needed to succeed.

Program Priorities

Access: Students can benefit from limited tuition assistance and multiple points of entry, including an introductory IT Basics training starting in September 2025.
Workforce Alignment: Programs span Computer Information Systems and Applied Technology, with pathways such as Networking, IT Security, Software Development, Manufacturing Automation, and a forthcoming Data Science certificate with an AI course.
Career Support: FutureTech provides networking events, career coaching, and job developer support to prepare students for in-demand careers.
Employer Engagement: Local businesses can partner by offering internships, site visits, mentoring, curriculum feedback, career conversations, and hiring FutureTech graduates.

  • Software Development Associate in Applied Science

  • New Data Science certificate with an AI course (in development)
  • Entry-level IT Basics training (beginning September 2025)
