Description

The overall goal of this project is to review and determine the options available to support GRCC’s selection of and potential implementation of a new or upgraded learning management system (LMS). The project will involve surveying faculty’s experience with GRCC’s current LMS, Blackboard. If this project is approved, it is likely that an RFP will be developed to investigate all LMS options available. Faculty will explore the LMS options and weigh in on their preferences. We anticipate a decision by July 1, 2024 as to whether GRCC will migrate courses to Blackboard Ultra or another LMS in order for ISIP/TLDE to have time to work with IT to support implementation. Training and other preparations for the migration process will occur during the 2024-2025 academic year. The migration process will begin in May 2025 and be completed by September 2025, the end of GRCC’s current contract with Blackboard.
