How do I enroll in English Composition 1 (EN 101) and Integrated Reading and Writing (IRW 101) together?

Information

Students who place into IRW 101 must enroll in specific sections of EN 101 that are linked to the IRW class. These are corequisite courses and must be added to your registration together.

Answer

To ensure you select the correctly paired sections, follow these steps in the Online Center:

1. Log into your MyGRCC account and select the Online Center tile.
2. Select the Add/Drop Classes tile.
3. Select Class Search and Enroll and choose the appropriate term.
4. Search for IRW 101 and select the course from the results to view available sections.
5. Click the Lecture link (e.g., "Lecture - 1234") for the section that fits your schedule to open the Class Details window.
6. In the pop-up window, select the Enrollment Information tab.
7. Look for the Corequisite requirement. It will list the specific EN 101 four-digit section number that must be taken with that IRW section. Make a note of this four-digit number.
8. Follow the prompts to add the IRW 101 class to your shopping cart.
9. Search for the EN 101 four-digit section number you noted and add that specific section to your shopping cart.
10. Navigate to your Shopping Cart, select both classes, and click Enroll to finalize your registration.
