Answer
The process for obtaining a syllabus depends on whether you are a current/former student or a prospective student looking for course details.
For Current or Former Students
If you need a syllabus for a course you have already completed (for example, to provide to another institution for transfer credit):
- Contact the Academic Department: Reach out to the support professional for the department that offered the course. Email is the preferred method of contact.
- Locate Contact Info: Names, phone numbers, and email addresses can be found on the Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) Directory page (opens in a new window).
- Provide Required Details: In your request, please include:
- Your full name and GRCC Student ID number.
- The specific course number (e.g., EN 101).
- The specific semester and year the course was taken.
For Prospective Students
If you are looking for general course requirements or a curriculum outline before enrolling, you can access the Curriculum Database:
- Visit the GRCC Catalog (opens in a new window).
- Select the GRCC Curriculum Database from the drop-down menu in the upper right corner.
- Select Courses from the navigation menu on the left.
- Use the Course Filter to find your specific class.
- Click the class title to open the course information.
- Click the Print icon in the upper right corner of the class details.
- In the new window that opens, click Print this Page.
- Change the "Destination" in your print settings to Save as PDF to keep a digital copy.
Note: The document from the catalog is a Course Outline (curriculum). If you require a specific Instructor Syllabus (which includes specific dates and grading policies), please contact the instructor directly. If an instructor has not yet been assigned to a section, check back closer to the start of the semester.
