Advanced Placement (AP) Credit Transfer Process

Information

Advanced Placement (AP) exams are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) grants credit for scores of 3 or higher.

Process for Sending Scores

To receive credit, your official AP scores must be sent directly from the College Board to GRCC.

  1. Visit the College Board Score Reporting page (opens in a new window) and follow their instructions for requesting a transcript.
  2. Use College Code 1254 to ensure the scores are sent to the GRCC Student Records Office.
  3. To see how your specific AP scores will translate into GRCC course credits, search for "College Board AP" in the TES Transfer Evaluation System database (opens in a new window).
