FAQ's

  1. Do I need to register for a session in advance to participate? No! You can simply drop in. We will, however, be sending calendar appointments that you can accept or decline based on your availability and interest (and it will help us know possible attendance and ensure our space will meet our needs).
  2. What levels of meditation practice are conducted in these sessions? Do you need to have a certain level of experience to attend? No! We welcome anyone interested in learning more about and exploring practices of meditation and mindfulness.
  3. Who is facilitating these sessions? Friday sessions will be facilitated by Dr. Werner Absenger. Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be hosted by Dr. Eric Mullen and other members of the Student Success Meditation Planning team.
  4. Do I need to bring anything with me to attend? No! We are planning to use chairs for our sessions. If you have a preferred sitting method and have your own equipment (e.g., bolster, pillow, cushion), feel free to bring it with you.
  5. Will there be virtual participation options? Very likely! We discussed this and want to offer these in the future. To begin, all sessions will be in person only. As we progress, we will evaluate participation and interest, and howwe may offer virtual participation options.
