Information
Student Loan Deferment offers a way to temporarily postpone loan repayments while back in school (enrolled in at least 6 credits), in the military, experiencing financial hardship or in certain other situations. If enrolled in an eligible college or career school at least half-time (6 credits), in most cases the loan will be placed into a deferment automatically.

- If a form needs to be signed by someone at GRCC or if checking on the submitted form:
- Yes: Provide Student Records/Registrars office email; studentrecords@grcc.edu or connect with the office; 616 234 4121.
- No: Students can log into their online account with their loan servicer for deferment and/or forbearance options and forms. To find out who the servicer is, go to studentaid.gov. The Financial Aid office can assist more if needed; 616 234 4030.
