Question
How do I set my web browser to clear cookies/cache automatically upon closing?
 
Environment
	- Google Chrome
 
	- Mozilla Firefox
 
	- Internet Explorer 
 
 
Resolution 
Google Chrome
	- Optional: Click this link and skip to step 7.
 
	- In the upper right corner click  
 
	- Click Settings
 
	- On the left hand side select Privacy and Security
 
	- Click Site settings
 
	- Expand Additional content settings
 
	- Click On-device site data
 
	- Select Delete data sites have saved to your device when you close all windows 
 
Mozilla Firefox
	- Optional: Click this link and skip to step 4.
 
	- In the upper right corner click  
 
	- Click Settings
 
	- Click Privacy & Security 
 
	- Under Cookies and Site Data click the check box next to Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed 
 
 
Internet Explorer
	- In the upper right corner click   
 
	- Click Internet Options
 
	- In the General tab under Browsing history make sure the Delete browsing history on exit  
	
		- This should be grayed out and checked by default.  
 
	
	 
 
Microsoft Edge
	- Optional: Click this link and skip to step 5.
 
	- In the upper right corner click 
 
	- Click Settings 
 
	- On the left hand side click Privacy, search and services 
 
	- Scroll down under Clear browsing data and click Choose what to clear every time you close the browser 
 
	- Toggle the switch next to Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files
