Changing Your Display Name in Google

Your Google display name will not automatically update, you will need to change it on the Google About Me page.

Issue

I changed my Campus Network Username with IT, but my Google account still shows my old name.

Information

Your name has changed in Google, however it does not effect your "display name." Your display name is something you can set, which will show in applications like Hangouts.

 

Resolution

1. Sign into Google with your GRCC credentials
2. Navigate to your Google About Me page
3. Click Name
4. Click > next to your name
5. Set name
6. Click Save
