Perceptive Content / ImageNow Connections Unavailable

Adding or modifying the connection profile to resolve Perceptive Content / ImageNow connection issues

Issue

The user receives the following error: The ImageNow Server network connection is temporarily unavailable.  Try your request again latter.

 

Environment

  • Perceptive Content (ImageNow)

 

Resolution

The server profile needs to be updated for the user's client.

  1. Verify that the user's computer is at the current version of Perceptive Content - not ImageNow 6.7
  2. Click About
  3. Verify that the version of ImageNow client is: Perceptive Content Client Foundation 22.2 7.9.0.296 (32 bit) (Unicode)
  4. Close the window
  5. If you are at the wrong version, the client needs to be updated.
  6. Click Connection Profiles.
  7. Click Edit connection profiles in the side panel that pops up
  8. In the new window that opens, select Production
    • If Production does not exist, click create and then skip to step 10.
  9. Click Modify
  10. Verify that the Connection Profile settings match below:
    • Name: Production
    • Server ID: inowprod.grcc.edu
    • Server Type: Production
    • Port Number: 6000
    • UserName: Remember last successful user name
  11. Check the box for OpenID Connect. Verify that the Login Profile settings match below:
    • Profile Name: hylandexperience
    • Integration Server URL: https://inowprodis.grcc.edu/integrationserver
    • Check the box for Automatically connect on launch.
  12. Click OK on both remaining windows
  13. Click Connection Profiles
  14. Select Production
  15. You should be able to log in successfully.
